FH6 Teredo Unable to Qualify — Multiplayer Fix (PC)

Can’t join online in Forza Horizon 6? Fix Teredo, IP Helper, NAT, and Xbox networking on Windows for Horizon Life and convoys.

Forza Horizon 6 on PC relies on Xbox Live networking and the Teredo IPv6 tunnel for Horizon Life, convoys, and matchmaking. If Teredo shows Unable to qualify, online features will fail even when the game launches fine offline.

Step 1: Check Xbox networking status

  1. Press Win + G (Xbox Game Bar) or open the Xbox app.
  2. Go to Settings → General → Network settings (or Xbox Network settings on Windows).
  3. Confirm NAT Type is Open and Teredo is Qualified.

Step 2: Enable IP Helper service

  1. Win + Rservices.msc
  2. Find IP Helper
  3. Set Startup type to Automatic
  4. Click Start → OK → reboot

Step 3: Network basics

  • Use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi when possible.
  • Disable VPN completely for testing.
  • Reboot router (power off 60 seconds).
  • Enable UPnP on your router (or set a moderate DMZ only if you understand the risk).

Step 4: Teredo reset (PowerShell as Admin)

Run these commands one at a time:

netsh interface Teredo set state disabled
netsh interface Teredo set state type=default
netsh interface Teredo set state enterpriseclient

Reboot, then recheck Xbox networking.

Step 5: In-game workaround

Some players fix temporary disconnects by:

  1. Switching to Horizon Solo (offline)
  2. Waiting 30 seconds
  3. Returning to Horizon Life

Firewall

Allow these through Windows Firewall (Private network):

  • Forza Horizon 6 executable
  • Xbox app / Gaming Services

Still broken?

Read Forza multiplayer troubleshooting and confirm Xbox Live service status is green.
